After contractual negotiations took the show off air in 2011, Mad Men’s fifth series begins in the US on March 25. The fifth season will kick off with a 2 hour season premiere which is entitled ‘A Little Kiss’ – the show’s creator Matthew Weiner, while usually tight-lipped upcoming plot lines has revealed “I like the title to have some kind of synergy with the show so it will pique your interest.”
When US TV Guide suggested the kiss might be between Don Draper and his new fiance Megan, Weiner coyly teased “Who says Megan’s even going to be part of Don’s life?” says Weiner. “He may be back with Betty. One of my favorite scenes from [last season's finale] was when Betty offered herself to him again. And let’s face it — those two look really good together.”
Following protracted contract negotiations between AMC, Lionsgate Television and series creator Matthew Weiner, the fifth season of Mad Men will premiere on March 25, 2012, seventeen months after the finale of season four. Weiner’s new deal includes the production of a sixth season with the strong possibility of a seventh, which Weiner has said would be the last.
UPDATE : Sky Tv’s SOHO will be screening Season Five from April 2012 and, if you need to catch up will be screening Season 4 over the weekend 24-25 March
