Kiwi FM announces new format – no longer 100% NZ music

Kiwi Fm have announced that as of 20 feb 2012 their format will no longer be 100% home-grown NZ music – diversifying to a 40% non-Kiwi quota.

Andrew Szusterman from MediaWorks Radio, says the move is designed to secure a wider audience for the New Zealand music that the station champions and that by adding alternative music from around the world they hope to bring a wider audience to the station and so provide a better platform for the New Zealand music they do play.
