Outward Sound award 4 Stage One grants in first round of 2012

Street Chant, Tiny Ruins, Cairo Knife Fight and Midnight Youth have all been awarded Stage One grants from Outward Sound in the first round of grants for 2012.

Street Chant have a 25 date UK/European support tour scheduled including additional solo shows as well as showcases at the Great Escape festival in Brighton UK.

Hollie Fullbrook aka Tiny Ruins is touring the UK and Europe supporting the release of her album in these territories through her label Spunk/SRD. As well as the tour she will be doing interviews and sessions on BBC2, BBC6 and XFM.

Cairo Knife Fight played CMJ Music Marathon and got critical praise both from online and traditional press as well as gaining both US management – via Crowd Control Management, Australian management – via Homesurgery, and an invitation to return to the US in March 2012 to play SXSW.

Midnight Youth have been invited to perform at Musexpo and the Radio Summit in LA to coincide with the release of their sophomore record World Comes Calling.

Applications for the next round of Outward Sound grants close on April 23rd 2012 at 5pm.
