Thought Creature are back! They had set up shop in Berlin for much of last year – turning on, tuning in and vibing out to the vibrant local electronic scene. The results of their European sojourn can be heard on their new EP – Total Recall which is being released via Crystal Magic Records (an artist-run bedroom-based cassette/oddities/cd-r/cyber label)

Like a gothic fog descending on baggy-era Manchester, Total Recall constructs cathedrals of sound out of crisp electronic beats and laser-attack synths, with singer Will Rattray’s vox beaming like a beacon through the otherworldly atmosphere. Striking an elegant balance between amped up guitar psychedelia and contemporary dance-pop, Thought Creature occupy a pivotal position on the NZ music landscape, with Rattray (also of Full Moon Fiasco) a gifted lyricist.
