CAT VENOM Mixtape

Cat Venom love tapes (they just released their EP on cassette tape) – so of course they wanted to make us (and you) a mixtape

Track-list
Nick Cave – Red Right Hand
Always a good song to have on when you enter a room. If you ever go to a party and this is playing when you walk in, its gonna be a good night. Its only happened once, but it was a good night. Also, featured on Scream and the X-Files. And its Nick Cave. How can you go wrong. - Zina

Placebo – Meds
One of our mutual favorite bands is Placebo and also The Kills, so this was a no brainer. This to us is a perfect pop song. Brian Molko and Alison Mosshart, both mega babes

Smashing Pumpkins – Ave Adore
One of my favorite bands since I was young. People have often tried to sway me with the opinion that billy corgan is a cock. They are right. But he was so brilliant that I diddnt care, until zietgiest. Ive often thought of getting married to this song, however, the recurrent use of the word “whore” could be an issue. - Zina

The Ramones – Pet Cemetary
(would it really be that bad?) Cat Venom Manic Street Preachers – Faster
A.K.A. The greatest song ever written. Every one of the lyrics in this song kills me with jealousy, “I know I believe in nothing but it is my nothing” Is probably one of my favorite lyrics of all time. Great song to listen to while using public transport and quietly despising humanity. - Maeve

Sleater Kinney – I Wanna Be Your Joey Ramone
Someone once told Maeve she looked like a girl Joey Ramone.

My Chemical Romance – Helena
People often think our My Chem’ obsession is us being ironic. But were not. We genuinely love MCR with all our hearts. The only reason we went to the last big day out was to see My chemical Romance. We left strait after they played.

Dum Dum Girls – There Is A Light That Never Goes Out
(Obligatory cover song) When the Dum Dum Girls played this song at their Kings Arms show, I text’d Zina mid song and we both concluded we definitely needed a drummer from here-on in. Bit of a turning point epiphany song. Also, this is a sneaky way of getting a Smiths song into the mix. Two birds, one stone, yeahhhyor.
