NZ on Air Making Tracks May decisions

NZ on Air’s Making Tracks funding decisions for May 2012 have been announced this morning…

NZ On Air will fund 32 new music projects from its May MakingTracks funding round. The 32 projects were selected from a field of 114 applications.
Seventeen are $10,000 grants for recording a song and making a music video to back up the release of the song and 15 are $6,000 grants for making a music video only.

(a) Funding of up to $10,000 for each of the following 17 MakingTracks projects in the May round, comprising up to $4,000 for recording a song and $6,000 for making a music video of that same song -
• Artisan Guns/Baby Blue
• Bang Bang Eche/Dreamers
• Beastwars/Realms
• Beat Kamp/Ain’t Going Nowhere
• Cool Rainbows/House By The Beach
• Five Mile Town/Kids & Their Chemicals
• Glass Owls/Let’s Take The Road
• Late Nyte Hype/Electricity
• Massad/Maybe One Day
• MayaVanya & P-Money/Turn Me Out
• Mixt Frequencies/Breathe
• Sherpa/Love Film
• Skallander/Rain
The Drab Doo Riffs/Tesla Girl
• Tom Lark/Hipsteranity
• Tyson Tyler/To Be King
• Zionhill/Foot Soldier

(b) Funding of $6,000 for each of the following 15 MakingTracks projects in the May round, being funding for making a music video only -
• Badd Energy/How Do You Sleep
• Black River Drive/Hold The Line
• Bury Me Low/Three Winds
• Cavell/I Need You
• Dam Native/Lick My Patu
• Luckless/Skin & Bones
• Maisey Rika/Tangaroa Whakamautai
• Mother Motor/We’ll Find The Way
• Myele Manzanza featuring Rachel Fraser/On The Move
• Paper Plane/Yes Ma’am
• Popstrangers/Heaven
• Rackets/Snake In The Grass
• Tommy Ill/New Car Money
