TOUR LINEUP
JOKER (KAPSIZE / 4AD / UK)
Signed to 4AD records, Bristol’s Joker is one of the most often imitated, yet rarely matched DJ/Producers currently active within the global bass music community.

Studied in the histories of R&B, soul and funk, he folds these influences into a blueprint grounded in the rhythms of UK Grime, 8-bit video game music, and the subwoofer rupturing bass pressure of dubstep.

Having over the last five years released a string of classic singles through Techtonic, Hyperdub, Earwax and Kapsize Records, toured the globe, and remixed for Sean Paul, Roni Size and Bassment Jaxx, Joker now sits in a rare intersection. Equally valid within underground cool as well as chart stardom, Joker has obtained that rare, highly sought after combination of credibility and success.

BROOKES BROTHERS (BREAKBEAT KAOS / UK)
Signed to highly influential record label Breakbeat Kaos, over the last six years London based brothers Phil and Dan Brookes have become one of leading lights in the more soulful side of the international drum and bass DJ/Producer scene.

Fluent in the wider history of modern music, they crib influences abstracted from funk, jazz, soul, pop and hip-hop into the mix. In the process, the Brookes Brothers have seen heavy support from DJ luminaries like Zane Lowe, Pete Tong, Adam F and Andy C. Along the way they have toured the world and entered the UK dance charts through singles like ‘Tear You Down’. In 2011 they released their self-titled debut album to much commercial and critical acclaim, and were one of the standout acts at the inaugural Rhythm and Vines sister festival, Rhythm and Alps and also Northern Bass.

DANIEL FARLEY (MINISTRY OF SOUND / NZ)
Daniel Farley has been the number one reigning House/Electro DJ in NZ (NZ Nite:Life Awards) firing up dance floors across Australasia for the past eight years.

Most recently known for releasing the nationally successful Ministry of Sound compilation CD, SessioNZ, and collaboration with NSW #1 DJ Tom Piper for the latest track everyone’s talking about; ‘L.G.F.U’. Some of the biggest names in house have remixed his work including Riva Starr, Yankee Zulu and Edu K to name a few.

NZ DJ Promoter, Producer and Record Label owner, Farley has supported every international and every festival worth playing in the southern hemisphere. Think Paul Van Dyk, Crookers, Deadmau5, Afrojack and Parklife, Rhythm and Vines, Summadayze…you get the idea.

D:UNK LIVE (WGTN)
D:UNK is a live project directed by George Duncan – Wellington’s leading new digital funk beat maker. Consisting of one man, a laptop, a DIY Arcade MIDI controller and Monome, expect a dynamic journey though the worlds of funk, soul, hip-hop, club music, experimental electronic and glitch.

D:UNK inspires a compelling blend of decidedly physical one man band synthetic funk music, driven by glossy synthesizer textures, robust stuttering drums and heaving, grinding bass lines.
