Wellington noise rock power trio THE POSTURES are coming out of hiatus to complete a five date North Island show in August.
The band “entered cryostasis” in 2011 when drummer Michael Harvey left the country – but he’s back briefly and so they’re taking the opportunity to hit the road.
Friday 10th August – Wellington: Mighty Mighty – with Captain Sergeant Major & DIVING
Wednesday 15th August – Wellington: San Fran Bathhouse
Thursday 16th August – Whanganui: Space Monster – with Caves & DIVING
Friday 17th August – Palmerston North: Square Edge – with Sweater
Saturday 18th August – Auckland: Whammy Bar – with Lost Rockets, Sweater & Proton Beast
In addition, Hell Is Now Love are releasing a complete anthology of Postures recordings – Algebra: A Concise History of the Postures, along with a previously unreleased song “One Ton Prop” – for now, though, you can download the lead single Alpha Male from their Dropbox
