Mercury Prize nominations announced

The Uk’s Mercury Prize nominations have been announced. Each year, a selected group of music critics convene and award the Mercury Prize to the British album of the year. The first Mercury Music Prize was awarded to Primal Scream in 1992 for Screamadelica. Other winners include Dizzee Rascal, Franz Ferdinand, Antony & the Johnsons, and The xx.  Last year the award went to PJ Harvey for her album Let England Shake, making her the first artist to win the award twice, having won it previously in 2001 for Stories From The City, Stories From The Sea.

Roller Trio – Roller Trio
Jessie Ware – Devotion
