Ian Jorgensen aka Blink aka the guy behind A Low Hum is opening a new bar and venue in Wellington.
It’s called Puppies and will be at 118 Tory Street (where Happy once was) – opening night has been set as Oct 19th with a line up yet to be announced – although Blink is promising something special and “it’s not farts, in-fact it’s the opposite of farts” he advises.
The bar will initially only be open on weekends and only for two months, closing down over January to re-group and also, I assume, for Ian to get ready for Camp A Low Hum in February. He then plans on re-opening with a “more focussed agenda”
The bar’s Facebook Page lists some of the acts already planned for the opening two months; Beach Pigs, Leno Lovecraft, Disasteradio, Rackets, Kirin J Callinan (Aus), STreet Chant, Golden Axe, Keith Fullerton Whitman (USA), C-Trix (Aus), Secret Knives, All Seeing Hand, Totems, Forces (Aus) and more.
Ian has asked act to refrain from contacting him to make a booking for now – advising that he’ll be seeking bookings in December (presumably for dates post Camp)
