Matthew Crawley gets married!

The premiere of season three of DOWNTON ABBEY hit UK screens this weekend with a hour and half special featuring the marriage of Matthew Crawley and Lady Mary.

The new season is set in the 1920s – word is that not only does it feature the long awaiting wedding, a baby is born and a prominent character will die during the series. Shirley MacLaine has joined the cast as Martha Levinson, Cora’s mother – and there are said to be some fantastic scenes between her and Maggie Smith (who’se character Countess of Grantham, is my favorite).

The season premiere clocked 9 million viewers in the UK.
