Playlist:
SJD – The Lizard Kings
Jackie Wilson – Lonely Teardrops

Opened the show with the brand new single from SJD – first new material in 3 years – from a forthcoming album that will be released before the end of this year! Exciting!
Then I played Lonely Teardrops because on this day in 1975, Jackie Wilson suffered a massive heart attack on-stage while performing this song. In fact as he sang the words “My Heart is crying”. He went into a coma, and while he awoke a year later he never recovered properly and passed away in 1981.

Band of Horses – How To Live
Helio Sequence – One More Time
Grizzly Bear – Gun Shy
Dinosaur Jr – Don’t Pretend You Didn’t Know

Band of Horses, Helio Sequence, Grizzly Bear and Dinosaur Jr all have new albums out recently.

Peaches – Two Guys (For Every Girl)

Tina Turntables came into the studio for her weekly segment TINA’S HIGH-HORSE where she untwists shiz that’s been in the media this week and stuff. This week we talked mainly about objectification and then she played Peaches.

This week’s “TARDIS TUNE” is from 1991. Nevermind celebrated it’s ‘birthday’ yesterday. Congratulations to STU who correctly identified the track and therefore won a $50 bar tab at The Libertine.
