New York based noise-rockers A PLACE TO BURY STRANGERS have just been announced as the latest addition to the Auckland leg of St Jerome’s Laneway Festival.
The Washington Post once called them “the most ear-shatteringly loud garage/shoegaze band you’ll ever hear”. Trainbassplayer-spotters out there might recognize kiwi ex-pat Dion (formerly of The D4) in the band.

A Place To Bury Strangers will join the following artists at Auckland’s Wynyard Quarter on Monday 28th January (Auckland Anniversary Day):
Bat for Lashes, Bailterspace, Yeasayer, Of Monsters And Men, Alt-J, Nicolas Jaar, Divine Fits, The Phoenix Foundation, Lawrence Arabia, Jessie Ware, Phelps and Munro, Japandroids, Street Chant, The Men , Cloud Nothings, Deer Park & Beach Pigs
Another four acts are to be announced – one on Mon 19th and one on 26th November and then two final acts on Monday 3rd December.
