Auckland based singer-songwriter CHRIS RAKETE has released a new EP as a free download. Anika Moa provides some BVs on three tracks, and maestro Bob Frisbee has provided some production. Previous releases from Chris have been much more stripped back – but with the addition of Oscar Davies Kay and Tom Morrison on bass and drums respectively, this collection of songs naturally have a fuller sound without detracting from the pure-pop song-writing genius that lies within.
The EP is titled, deceptively simply, Thoughts & Feelings – and it sums ups Chris’s songwriting style perfectly. I urge readers to download this EP with haste – Chris Rakete is a talent that deserves not to be hidden anymore.
