SO SO MODERN have, seemingly, been quiet for what seems for ages – but it seems they’re back just before the end of the Mayan calendar with a brand new single – named in homage to Kraftwerk, presumably – Transpacific Express.
They’ve strap-lined the single with the catch-phrase “Turn this globe upside-down!”
It’s frantically rhythmic and features classic SSM melodic/emotive call/response vocals. Cheese on Toast hopes it marks a new return to the once mighty So So Modern for a post-Mayan era – and I can’t wait to hear more new stuff next year, I hope! I wonder if they will have new one-piece costumes?
