Japanese space-rockers MARBLE SHEEP have been confirmed to be playing a short tour of NZ commencing this week in Auckland.
Originally founded in 1987 by Ken Matsutani (ex White Heaven and manager of Captain Trip Records) as Marble Sheep & The Run Down Sun’s Children – they explored many styles of psychedelia, from minimalist-psyche to heavy rock to sci-fi-psyche. After a hiatus they returned in 1999 as simply MARBLE SHEEP and focussing on a space rock sound.
You can read a recent interview with founding member Ken Matsutani over at Graham Reid’s ELSEWHERE – along with a stream of Melted Moon.
MARBLE SHEEP will be joined on their tour by SUPERTURTLE.
