ANIMAL COLLECTIVE show cancelled

Next week’s scheduled ANIMAL COLLECTIVE show at Auckland’s Powerstation (Tuesday 15th) has been cancelled.

ANIMAL COLLECTIVE posted on their Facebook wall early this afternoon :

“It’s with much sadness and regret that we have to cancel our show in Auckland on January 14th. Unfortunately our equipment’s arrival has been delayed and will not arrive and clear customs in time for the show. We tried our hardest over the last few days to find a promoter and venue that could do the show at a later date before or after Big Day Out, but have been repeatedly told there are no available options. We will also have to move our Sydney show at the Enmore to January 17th, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause fans that were planning to come on the 16th. We truly are heartbroken to have to have to be sharing this news. We know words of apology don’t go very far in making this situation right, but please trust us when we say that New Zealand is one of our favorite places in the world and when the opportunity arises to return, we’ll do everything in our power to do so.”

The Powerstation have updated their website advising that refunds for tickets purchased are available from the points of purchase.
