You might have come across RODRIGUEZ most recently as a result of the hit documentary film Searching For Sugarman (watch the film trailer below) – Sixto Diaz Rodriguez primary recorded output dates back to the late sixties and early seventies – his LPs remained very much on the underground in the USA while, achieving a wave of mainstream acceptance through Australia and South Africa (and a bit here too).
Well, the subject of the documentary is headed to NZ to play two headline shows in March:
Saturday 16th March – Wellington Town Hall TSB Arena, Wellington
Sunday 17th March – Logan Campbell Centre, Auckland

How can you put Rodriguez in the Logan Campbell centre … It is such a shit venue …. Or as we wud say in Cape Town … A Kak venue… How about the Bruce mason centre were most of his sa supporter live !!! Or the town hall … How come Wellington gets the town hall but Auckland doesn’t … I tell you if it’s at the Logan Centre it will flop big time
