This weeks CHEESE ON TOAST TOP DOZEN sees brand new entries at number one and two with new singles from Unknown Mortal Orchestra and The Ruby Suns respectively.
But let’s count em down…

12 – FRANK OCEAN – Wiseman
Penned for Django Unchained, by Tarantino couldnt find a scene in the film fitting for the song. Down this week from number 8, but still so great!

11 – SUEDE – Barriers
Holding firm at number eleven this week – from Suede’s a new album called Bloodsports due out in March.

10 – STREET CHANT – Sink
Street Chant are promising to play some new material as well as stuff from their first album at their Laneway performance later this month; but presuming that this single is representative of the new album I can’t wait for more new stuff. So good; holding firm at number 10 in the TOP DOZEN this week.

9 – OTHELLO WOOLFE – Keep On
NEW ENTRY
London based RnB artist Othello Woolfe busts brand new into the CoT TOP DOZEN this week at number 9 with his song Keep On from a forthcoming new album. I’ve checked out his previously self-released album and EP and have to say I think that the newer material is definitely better!

8 – PULP – After You
Dropping down from Number 2 last week in the chart – the lost classic from Pulp – After You.

7 – CRAIG TERRIS – Ahead Of The Storm
Last week’s number one on the CoT TOP DOZEN, the lead single from Craig Terris (drummer of Cassette)’s debut long player. It’s just epic!

6 – FOALS – My Number
NEW ENTRY
Brand new at number six this week – the latest single from the forthcoming FOALS album. Yannis from Foals recently called David Guetta ‘an abomination’. He gets bonus points for that. And points for just how “funky-fresh” this song is! Ha! New album out Feb 8th.

5 – NICK CAVE & THE BAD SEEDS – We No Who U R
No explanation required. It’s Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds. Nuff Said.

4 – DAVID BOWIE – Where Are We Now?
For his birthday last week he gave us this. Unreal.

3 – SOLANGE – Some Things Never Seem To Fucking Work
I wonder if Solange will ever leave the CoT Top 12? Holing fast at number three with this track from her True EP.

2 – THE RUBY SUNS – In Real Life
NEW ENTRY
Loving the new RUBY SUNS album so much (out Jan 28th) and this new single is just awesome.

1 – UNKNOWN MORTAL ORCHESTRA – So Good At Being In Trouble
I am so stoked that my favorite song from the new album has been announced as the next single. This song is just killer – and they nailed it live last week too!
