Comic-rock band TENACIOUS D are set to return to NZ this May – to play three dates.
They were last here in Dec 2011 as touring support for FOO FIGHTERS. Jack Black and Kyle Glass are touring, this time, as an acoustic duo. (Little-known fact, as the press release points out, is that FOO FIGHTERS is really Dave Grohl’s side project – his main gig is that of drummer on all three TENACIOUS D albums!)
It’s also the duo’s first trip to NZ since the release of their third long player Rize of the Fenix.
Joining them on the NZ leg of the tour will be SASQUATCH – who “rips unreal guitar solos”
Monday 20 May – Auckland, Town Hall
Tuesday 21 May – Wellington, Opera House
Wednesday 22 May, Christchurch, Bedford Marquee
