South London rapper (real name Patrick Junior C. Okongwu)’s debut single which topped the Top Forty within a couple of weeks of it’s release. NZ Top Forty never seems to get this interesting; NZ commercial radio is too safe and boring and so it’s rare that anything interesting gets heard by the wider public. It sucks. But this tune doesnt suck – at all – it’s flippin’ awesome as!

We’re saddened by Mark Linkous’ (Sparklehorse) death on 6 March. This track is from the long-delayed collaboration album with Danger Mouse and David Lynch. Features the unmistakable tones of Julian Casablancas. On a side note – WTF Strokes going to Aussie and not coming to NZ!

Die Antwoord (Afrikaans for The Answer) are a Zef-Rap group from South Africa. They are about to blow the fuck up, as tehy take on “the overseas”. Big ups to Andrew Halford from Mothers of Darkness who first brought these guys our attention. Check out their official webpage to stream the whole album
